A PORT CITY THAT RUNS ON PAPERWORK
Marseille's economy is built around its port: shipping and container lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, terminal operators and the logistics firms that serve them. Further west, Fos-sur-Mer and the Étang de Berre add heavy industry and energy. The city is also a landing point for many subsea cables between Europe, Africa and Asia, and the data centres have followed.
Port and logistics work is document-heavy and always urgent: bookings, bills of lading, customs declarations, delay notices, claims. Much of it arrives by email in several languages. Teams often have Copilot or ChatGPT and still copy figures from one screen to another by hand.
International shipping groups with operations in Marseille tend to work in English at group level and in French on the quays. Our bilingual sessions fit that split.

HOW IT RUNS IN MARSEILLE
Marseille is a little over three hours from Paris by TGV. We plan on-site work in blocks: the baseline interviews and the first workshop over one or two days at your offices or terminal, then weekly remote follow-ups.
Operations teams can't leave the floor for a full day. We split sessions into short slots around shift patterns, and we build the pilot on the documents that cross their desks that week.
Week 1: the baseline
Usage by team, plus a count of the email and document types that land on operations and customer service desks each week.
Weeks 2 to 5: one pilot
One flow, for instance delay notifications or claims intake, rebuilt with the tool alongside the person who owns it.
Week 6, then month 3: the measured change
Response and handling time before and after, mismatches caught on the documents checked, and adoption week by week.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our operations staff work shifts. How do you train them?
In short sessions fitted around the shifts, on the documents they handle that week. Managers and back-office staff can take longer workshops.
Can AI check shipping documents reliably?
It flags mismatches quickly, and a person should still confirm before anything is filed. We set the pilot up that way and measure what it catches and what it misses.
We're an international group. Can the Marseille team work in French and head office in English?
Yes. We train in French on site and report the results in English, on the same measures.
Do you also cover Aix-en-Provence and Fos?
Yes, across the whole Aix-Marseille area. We group the on-site days so one trip covers several sites.
Do you offer AI consulting in Marseille?
Yes: strategy and governance. See AI Consulting France.
