FINANCIAL AND LEGAL SERVICES, AND HEALTH
Leeds is a major centre for financial and legal services, from banks and building societies to large law firm offices. National NHS bodies have big offices in the city, which has drawn health tech and data firms. Retail head offices, broadcasting and digital businesses complete the picture.
Casework dominates here: claims, matters, complaints, applications, patient pathways. Every case generates notes, letters and summaries, and the people writing them are often the most stretched in the business. AI could take the first draft off their plate. Where it hasn't, it's usually because the casework itself was never redesigned.
Health and legal data need extra care. We set the boundaries first, then choose the pilot.
WHERE WE'D START IN LEEDS
Case and matter summaries
Summarising a case file or matter history into a one-page note for the next person who picks it up.
Standard letters
Drafting letters from your templates and the case notes, checked by the case handler.
Complaints handling
Reading a complaint, pulling the relevant history and drafting a response in your approved tone.
Programme reporting
Turning updates from several teams into one consistent report, without patient-identifiable data.
HOW IT RUNS IN LEEDS
Leeds is just over two hours from London by train. On-site days work well for the baseline and the first workshop, and follow-ups are remote. Bradford, Wakefield and the wider city region fit on the same trip.
For health organisations, the pilot uses documents with no patient-identifiable data unless your information governance team has approved more. For law firms, we follow your client confidentiality rules and start with internal or anonymised material.
Week 1: the baseline
Usage by team, and the case types that generate the most writing each week.
Weeks 2 to 5: one pilot
One case type, for example complaint responses, rebuilt with the handlers who deal with it every day.
Week 6, then month 3: the measured change
Handling time per case before and after, quality checks passed, and weekly users by team in month three.

THE TOOLS YOU ALREADY PAY FOR
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We handle patient or client data. What can we pilot safely?
Plenty. Many high-volume documents can be piloted without identifiable data, or on anonymised examples. We agree the boundaries with your information governance or risk team before starting.
Our case handlers are already under pressure. How do you find the time?
By building the pilot into their real caseload. The workshops use cases they'd be working on anyway, so the time goes into work that needed doing.
Do you work with building societies and insurers as well as law firms?
Yes. The method is the same: one recurring document, one owner, a measured before and after.
Can you cover our offices elsewhere in Yorkshire?
Yes. We group the on-site days by location and run the rest of the programme remotely.
Do you offer AI consulting in Leeds?
Yes: strategy and governance. See AI Consulting London.
Do you work with SMEs in Leeds?
Yes, from £3,500 for a leadership half day. See AI for UK SMEs & Mid-Market.
